Available positions may include full-time permanent contracts and long-term substitute contracts.

Job Summary: The CSN plans, coordinates, implements, evaluates, collaborates, and provides direct services to ensure the district’s health program complies with the Pennsylvania School Code, district policies, and PA Department of Health regulations. The program may be modified based on local health needs with approval from the Department of Health and district leadership.

Qualifications:

  • Graduate of an accredited college with proper PA certification: PA Registered Nurse license, BSN preferred, and certification as an Educational Specialist (Certified School Nurse) or working toward it.
  • CPR/AED/First Aid certification.
  • Preferred experience in pediatric, community, critical care, or emergency nursing.
  • Knowledge of Child Abuse Law.
  • Required Act 48 continuing education for nursing license and certification.
  • Compliance with all background checks and conduct standards.

Duties & Responsibilities: Develop and maintain school health services, provide direct student care, collaborate with staff and families, attend meetings, and maintain health data.

Salary & Schedule: Based on education and experience, 7.5 hours/day, up to 191 days/year plus orientation days.
