The Carlisle Area School District is seeking an Elementary Special Education Autism Support Teacher to join our team at Mooreland Elementary School for the 2026–2027 school year.
This is an exciting opportunity for an educator who enjoys working with students with autism and wants to be part of a supportive, collaborative team. The Autism Support classroom currently serves seven kindergarten-aged students, with a maximum class size of eight students. While the program is designed to serve students in grades K–5 based on district needs, the current classroom is comprised entirely of kindergarten-aged students.
The Autism Support Teacher will provide individualized instruction using evidence-based practices, including principles of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA), VB-MAPP, and PEAK programming. The teacher will use student data to guide instruction and support growth in academic, communication, social, behavioral, adaptive, and functional skills.
We are looking for an educator who is patient, creative, flexible, collaborative, and excited about working with young learners with autism. Experience with autism support, ABA-based instruction, VB-MAPP, PEAK, communication supports, and positive behavior supports is preferred but not required. Most importantly, we are looking for a teacher who believes in the potential of every student and wants to be part of a team committed to building high-quality autism programming within the Carlisle Area School District.
