Job summary

The Nebraska Alliance seeks an Anti-Violence Engagement Coordinator to strengthen statewide anti-violence infrastructure, coordinating CAC networks and partner systems to improve responses to trafficking, family violence, and youth issues. You will build cross-system partnerships, provide technical assistance, and help elevate youth voice through engagement opportunities, with travel statewide as needed.

A Bachelor’s degree is required; Master’s preferred.

The Nebraska Alliance is a growing nonprofit organization dedicated to enhancing Nebraska’s response to child abuse and neglect through the CAC model. We serve as the nationally accredited state chapter and membership organization for Child Advocacy Centers in Nebraska (CACs).

We strengthen the CAC model approach by providing training, technical assistance, and capacity-building support; fostering statewide partnerships; and leading advocacy efforts that advance coordinated, trauma-informed responses for children and families.

Position Summary

The Anti-Violence Engagement Coordinator strengthens Nebraska's anti-violence infrastructure by coordinating statewide initiatives, fostering collaboration, and supporting capacity-building efforts across the Child Advocacy Center (CAC) network and partner systems. Working closely with CACs and cross-sector partners, this role supports initiatives focused on child and youth trafficking, family/domestic violence, and youth-serving systems, including juvenile justice and probation, to improve the response, intervention, and prevention of children, youth, and families impacted by violence and exploitation.

Key responsibilities include coordinating anti-violence initiatives, supporting the implementation of evidence-informed and trauma-responsive practices, facilitating cross-system partnerships, and helping elevate youth voice through leadership and engagement opportunities. This role also supports collaboration among CACs, child welfare, juvenile justice, probation, victim services, and community partners to strengthen services and improve outcomes for children and families.

How You’ll Contribute

Statewide Anti-Violence Strategy & Systems Coordination

Coordinate Nebraska Alliance initiatives related to child and youth trafficking, family violence, and other anti-violence priorities.

Monitor emerging trends, gaps, and opportunities in our field to inform statewide anti-violence strategies and resource allocation.

Support implementation of evidence-informed and trauma-responsive approaches across Nebraska's CAC network.

Develop and advance projects and partnerships that strengthen response efforts, intervention, and prevention for children, youth, and families impacted by violence.

Assist with planning, tracking, and evaluation of anti-violence initiatives to ensure alignment with organizational and grant objectives.

Capacity Building & Technical Assistance

Provide technical assistance and consultation to CACs on anti-violence programming, practices, and service delivery.

Develop and share tools, resources, and guidance that support effective responses to youth trafficking, family/domestic violence, and victimization.

Support CACs in implementing promising and evidence-informed practices that improve outcomes for children and families.

Assist CACs in addressing emerging challenges, identifying solutions, and strengthening local service capacity.

Create and maintain professional learning content within the Nebraska Alliance Training Network and other training platforms.

Partner with the NECAC programming team to coordinate training, support, and network-wide improvement efforts.

Convene and facilitate collaboration among CACs and partners, including child welfare, juvenile justice, probation, victim services, law enforcement, and community organizations.

Foster peer learning, information sharing, and relationship-building across Nebraska's child-serving systems.

Engage CACs and stakeholders in collaborative problem-solving to address barriers and improve coordinated service delivery.

Represent the Nebraska Alliance in statewide workgroups, committees, and collaborative initiatives.

Strengthen community and partner engagement efforts that support sustainable violence prevention and intervention strategies.

What We’re Looking For

Education & Experience

Bachelor’s degree in criminal justice, social work, human services, or a related field required. Preference will be given to applicants with a Master’s degree and/or relevant advanced experience , especially in systems coordination or statewide initiatives.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

Strong systems thinking and ability to connect strategy to implementation.

Experience facilitating collaboration across organizations or sectors.

Comfort working with Microsoft Office and learning management systems.

Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.

Understanding of professional ethics, confidentiality, and boundaries.

Additional Requirements

Ability and willingness to travel statewide, infrequently, for site visits, meetings, and trainings .

Valid driver’s license.

Compensation

This position pay range is $57,000-$62,000, with starting pay based on relevant experience, skills, and internal equity.
