Richland County is seeking an Anti-Human Trafficking Project Coordinator to oversee and manage the county’s anti-trafficking initiative. GENERAL DESCRIPTION OF CLASS To oversee and manage the Richland County Anti-Human Trafficking Project to train professionals across disciplines on recognizing and responding to human trafficking and ensure adequate and appropriate direct service response to human trafficking. This position will also provide crisis response, outreach, and case management for survivors of sex trafficking.
DATA INVOLVEMENT: Requires coordinating or determining time, place or sequence of operations or activities based on analysis of data or information and may implement and report on operations and activities.
PEOPLE INVOLVEMENT: Requires counseling or instructing/training others through explanation, demonstration and supervised practice or making recommendations based on technical expertise.
IN VOLUME WITH THINGS: Requires handling or using machines, tools or equipment requiring brief instruction or experience, such as computers for data entry, fax machines, copiers, telephones or similar equipment; may service office machines, including adding paper and changing toner.
REASONING REQUIREMENTS: Requires performing supervisory work involving policy and guidelines, solving both people- and work-related problems.
Requires using addition and subtraction, multiplication and division, and/or calculating ratios, rates and percentages.
Requires reading journals, manuals and professional publications; speaking informally to groups of co-workers, staff in other organizational agencies, the general public, people in other organizations; presenting training; composing original reports, training and other written materials using proper language, punctuation, grammar and style.
Requires doing professional-level work requiring the application of principles and practices in a wide range of administrative, technical or managerial methods in the solution of administrative or technical problems; or the coordination of entry-level managerial work; requires general understanding of operating policies and procedures and the ability to apply these to complex administrative problems; requires continuous, close attention for accurate results or frequent exposure to unusual pressures.
VOCATIONAL/EDUCATIONAL PREPARATION: Requires a Bachelor’s degree or education, training or job experience equivalent to four years of college education in social services, social work or a closely related field.
Must possess a valid state driver’s license.
Requires over two years and up to and including four years.
PHYSICAL AND DEXTERITY REQUIREMENTS: Requires sedentary work that involves walking or standing extended periods of time (5+ hours ) and involves exerting 10 to 20 pounds of force on a recurring basis or routine keyboard operations.

The job requires normal visual acuity and field of vision, speak and hearing abilities, color perception.
Responsible for actions of others, requiring almost constant decisions affecting co-workers, clients or others in the general public; works in a moderately fluid environment with guidelines and rules, but frequent variations from the routine.
