Job summary

Richland County is seeking an Anti-Human Trafficking Project Coordinator to oversee and manage the county’s anti-trafficking initiatives. You will train professionals across disciplines on recognizing and responding to trafficking and provide crisis response and direct service to survivors.

You will coordinate with local partners, develop outreach materials, and lead data collection, reporting, and program improvements while promoting victim safety and confidentiality.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in social services or a closely related field or equivalent experience.
• 2–4 years of relevant experience in social services or program coordination.
• Valid state driver’s license.
• Ability to conduct trainings and outreach to professionals and the public.

• Promote community awareness on issues related to child abuse and neglect.
• Organize and facilitate the Anti-Human Trafficking Task Force trainings for law enforcement, prosecutors, judges, and direct service providers.
• Develop outreach plans, including materials for promotion and PSAs for media.
• Provide high-quality crisis intervention and advocacy services to survivors of sex trafficking.
• Coordinate services with referral agencies and ensure victim safety and confidentiality.

This position will also provide crisis response, outreach, and case management for survivors of sex trafficking.ESSENTIAL TASKSThe tasks listed below are those that represent the majority of the time spent working in this class. Management may assign additional tasks related to the type of work of the class as necessary.Assists in promoting community awareness on issues related to child abuse and neglect.Receives and responds to inquiries, concerns, complaints and requests for assistance regarding areas of responsibility.Compiles data for and prepares records and reports as required by the department, County, and/or other agencies.Performs general administrative / clerical work as required, including attending meetings, preparing reports and correspondence, entering and retrieving computer data, reviewing mail and literature, copying and filing documents, sending and receiving faxes, answering the telephone, etc.Attends training, conferences, seminars, meetings, etc., to increase job knowledge and skills.Organize and facilitate the Richland County Anti-Human Trafficking Task Force;Organize and facilitate human trafficking trainings for law enforcement, prosecutors, judges, and direct service providers;Assist the Richland County Anti-Human Trafficking Task Force in creation and implementation of a community needs assessment regarding human trafficking;Assist the Richland County Anti-Human Trafficking Task Force in creation and implementation of a strategic plan to enhance community response to human trafficking;Represent STSM on community-based task forces related to human trafficking;Develop outreach plan, which may include design of written materials for promotion of program, including brochures, posters, newspaper, and social media;
