Job summary

The Salvation Army is seeking a on-call crisis response associate to join our Social Ministries team in Ohio. The role supports responding to hotline and crisis situations during a 24-hour on-call schedule and requires readiness to mobilize quickly to assist victims of trafficking and other traumatic crimes.

Qualified applicants will have an Associate’s Degree in social services, a valid driver’s license, and a commitment to the organization’s mission.

Qualifications

• Associate’s Degree in social service field; some coursework in social work preferred.
• Experience with victims of human trafficking preferred; experience with other traumatic crimes required.
• Must have driving privileges and access to a personal vehicle; mileage reimbursement where appropriate.
• Willingness to uphold and support The Salvation Army’s mission and ministry.

TemporarySCHEDULE: Must be available to be on-call for human trafficking emergencies as scheduled.FUNCTION:This position is responsible for responding to hotline and crisis response requests as a part of a 24 hour emergency on call schedule.

Qualifications

• Associate’s Degree in social service field. Some coursework in social work or a related field preferred.
• Experience working with victims of human trafficking is preferred. Experience working with victims of other traumatic crimes, such as domestic violence or sexual assault is required.
• Successfully obtain and maintain driving privileges per The Salvation Army insurance standards, including maintaining access to a personal vehicle and insurance coverage for transportation needs related to this position. Mileage reimbursement will be utilized where appropriate.
• Willingness to uphold and support The Salvation Army’s mission and ministry.
