Job summary

N26 is seeking a dynamic AFC Analyst (Italian fluent) to join our AFC Operations to ensure compliance with Anti-Financial Crime regulations and company policies. You will support AML, terrorism financing, sanctions, KYC, and fraud tasks while detecting money laundering patterns and handling requests from authorities.

You will review investigations, improve processes, and draft SAR/STR reports to authorities.

Qualifications

• Min. 3 years with relevant banking experience in Anti Financial Crime.
• Solid knowledge of European AML/CTF directives and local regulatory frameworks.
• Direct experience handling SAR/STR reporting and communication with FIUs.
• Fluency in English and professional fluency in Italian.
• Bachelor’s degree in law, business or finance preferred.
• Advanced MS Office (G Suite) skills; Salesforce a plus.

Responsibilities

• Review and improve investigations escalated by Investigators, ensuring quality investigations of complex Financial Crime cases.
• Ensure quality and suggest improvements to gain efficiency.
• Enhance analysis and expand processes in procedures and rulebooks for transaction monitoring.
• Draft and submit SARs/Authority requests to UIF and the corresponding authorities.

About the opportunity

We are looking for a dynamic AFC Analyst (Italian fluent) to join our AFC Operations Department to ensure compliance with applicable regulations and relevant company policies related to Anti-Financial Crime. Our target in AFC is to lead and shape the industry by creating a culture of compliance within N26 that authorities, customers and stakeholders can trust. This role is crucial to achieve this goal.

In this role, you will:

As AFC Analyst, you will support all Anti-Financial Crime tasks including AML, terrorism financing, sanctions, KYC, and fraud. You’ll detect Money Laundering typologies and Financial Crime patterns, while handling external and internal requests to detect potential financial crime.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Review and improve the investigation/assessments escalated by the Investigators, ensuring quality Investigations of complex Financial Crime escalations or cases of suspicious activities identified.
• Ensuring quality and suggesting better ways of working when difficulties are identified and /or for gaining efficiency.
• Enhancing our analysis, and expanding the processes in our procedures and rulebook, as well as identifying improvements related to our internal transaction monitoring systems.
• Draft and submit Suspicious Activity Reports/Authority requests to UIF and the corresponding authorities, prior escalation to the Associate/TL.

What you need to be successful:

Background:

• Min. 3 years with relevant banking experience in Anti Financial Crime (money laundering, terrorist financing, fraud, tax evasion).
• Solid knowledge of European AML/CTF directives, as well as local regulatory frameworks.
• Direct experience handling SAR/STR reporting and communication with local Financial Intelligence Units.
• Fluency in English is required, along with professional fluency in Italian.
• Bachelor’s degree (ideally in law, business or finance) is preferred.
• Advanced use of MS Office (G suits) skills for Excel and Word. Salesforce experience is a plus.
• Knowledge of European and Italian regulations on Financial Crime (AML, terrorism financing, fraud, and tax evasion).
