Job summary

Garmin seeks a Technical Lead Antenna Engineer to be a key technical contributor at our U.S. headquarters in the Kansas City area. You will drive complex antenna design efforts for consumer electronics and define architectures for integrated solutions.

You will mentor engineers, contribute to design reviews, evaluate new manufacturing tech, and push innovative solutions that enhance Garmin’s IP portfolio across products.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering (or equivalent) with strong academic record.
• GPA 3.0+ as general rule.
• Innovation with at least one US patent related to antenna.
• Ability to develop and review complex antenna designs including simulations, prototyping and measurements.
• Design antenna system architectures comprising one or more antennas.
• Strong verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead and contribute to antenna design reviews across multiple products.
• Propose antenna architectures for integrated product solutions.
• Evaluate new antenna manufacturing technologies and features.
• Mentor junior antenna engineers and provide guidance.
• Develop reliable solutions and contribute to Garmin’s IP portfolio.
• Participate in recruiting activities as needed.
