Job summary

Astranis is offering an Antenna Intern role in Northern California. You will collaborate with mechanical, thermal, and payload teams to design, build, and test antenna systems for current and next‑gen satellite payloads.

You’ll apply electromagnetics knowledge, use CST/HFSS/TICRA tools, and script with Matlab or Python. This twelve‑week, hourly internship targets students enrolled in a four‑year university, with on‑site work in California.

Qualifications

• Understanding of electromagnetics including antenna fundamentals, impedance matching, transmission lines.
• Experience measuring components using vector network analyzers, spectrum analyzers, and signal sources.
• Demonstrated ability to solve engineering challenges in innovative and creative ways.
• Proficiency with industry tools CST, HFSS, TICRA and scripting in Matlab or Python.

Responsibilities

• Leverage design tools to realize high‑performance antenna systems for on‑orbit flexibility.
• Work with vendors to design and procure antenna and RF components and validate performance in anechoic testing.
• Co‑design antenna components with Mechanical/Structural/Thermal/Payload Engineers.
