Long Wave Inc. in Wisconsin seeks an early- to mid-career RF Engineer to own antenna design for DoW programs, developing RF subsystems, managing requirements, testing, and documenting results.

Responsibilities include leading antenna design and development, contributing to RF system architecture, generating detailed documentation, troubleshooting discrepancies between simulation and measurements, and performing lab and field tests.

Competenze

• B.S. in Engineering or related field required.
• US Citizenship and eligibility for DoW clearance required.
• Experience with RF systems including design, analysis, production, or test.
• Strong technical writing skills to produce formal test documentation and reports.

Primary Function:

Long Wave Inc. isseekinganearly- ormid-careerRF Engineerto take ownershipofantenna design for Department of War(DoW) programs. This role is suited for engineers with several years of experience or advanced degree(s) whom can develop RF subsystems, manage requirements, perform tests, and document the results.

Essential Responsibilities:

1. AntennaDesignand Development:Lead thedesign anddevelopmentof antenna components.

1. RF System Architecture:Providemajor inputsto RF system architecture and shape the future ofRF productsat Long Wave Inc.Provide technicalinputsin system architecture and integration.Supportkey design decisions, conduct trade studies, and ensure solutions meet performance and safety standards.

1. Technical Documentation:Generate and maintain detailed technical documentation, including specifications, interface definitions, and test artifacts, for internal and customer use.

1. Troubleshooting:Performtroubleshootingto analyze the differences between simulated and measured performance and behavior.

1. Testing:Performlab and fieldtestingof designed components.Helpdemonstrate products and view each test as an opportunity to find new improvements.

1. Perform other duties as assigned.

Work Conditions:

Employeewill be working within an office environment.Employeemay be expected to travel on occasion(up to 20%)to locations where specific PPE or attire is necessary.

Job Requirements:

Minimum Requirements:

• B.Sin Engineering,Computer Science, orrelated field.

• US Citizenship andeligibility for aDoWclearance isrequired.

• Experience with RF Systems including design, analysis, production, or test.

• Strong technical writing skills with the ability to produce formal test documentation and reports.

Preferred Skills:

• B.S., M.S., and/or Ph.D.in Electrical or Computer Engineering.

• RFsystemdesignexperience

• Experience withantennamodelingsoftwaresuch as HFSS or XFDTD

• Experience analyzing antenna systems

• Experience withhighpowerelectronics

• Experienceusing RF test equipment such as VNAs, spectrum analyzers, and power meters

• Experience working withsystemsengineersand other engineering specializationsin a cross-functional team.Experience with Came Systems Modeler (orsimilarMBSE tool)

• This positions standard work schedule is a 9/80. The 9/80 schedule allows employees who work a nine-hour day Monday through Thursday to take every other Friday off.
