Job summary

Gana-A'Yoo Services Corporation (GSC) Antarctica seeks a Winter Supervisor to oversee Postal, Lodging, Janitorial, Recreation, Retail and Rooms Coordination at McMurdo Station. Reports to Lodging Manager and supports ACS metrics while ensuring safety and policy compliance.

The ideal candidate has four years of supervisory experience and may have prior Antarctic or CONUS station services exposure. US citizenship or permanent residency is required.

Qualifications

• Must be detailed-oriented with strong organizational skills.
• Sets the example for staff regarding punctuality, attendance, attitude, and hygiene.
• Basic computer skills with word processing, spreadsheets and databases required.

Responsibilities

• Conduct weekly Safety Meetings for all personnel.
• Oversee Postal operations at McMurdo Station, including mail sorting and distribution.
• Coordinate Lodging assignments, room moves, and resident briefs.
• Supervise Janitorial staff and manage laundry operations.
• Ensure compliance with Safety, EH&S policies and FEMA/ASC requirements.
• Provide customer service and support to the McMurdo community.
