Job summary

Leidos Antarctic Support Contract is seeking an experienced Palmer Station Site Manager to lead on-site operations during the austral winter, deployed for six months. You will manage day-to-day activities, ensure safety and logistics, and coordinate with project teams at Palmer Station.

Alternate position with the same qualification requirements as the primary; US citizenship is required and a Public Trust security clearance may take up to four months to obtain.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree with 8+ years of related experience; equivalent experience considered.
• 5+ years supporting or managing remote location operations, leading remote teams.
• Willingness to deploy to Palmer Station for six months annually.
• US citizenship and eligibility for Public Trust clearance.

Responsibilities

• Deploys to Palmer Station for the austral winter and leads on-site operations.
• Ensure completion of Annual Program Plan and station activities as planned.
• Respond to emergencies and incidents 24/7 while deployed.
• Coordinate reporting with NSF/ASC and subcontractor managers.
• Maintain safety culture and compliance with Antarctic treaties and regulations.
• Act as EOC lead during emergencies and oversee disciplinary actions as needed.
