Job summary

Alaska Northstar Resources (ANR) is seeking a Requirements Manager to lead requirements capture and communication across the software lifecycle for Air Force projects. This role is primarily remote with occasional on-site visits and preference for candidates near Dayton OH, Montgomery AL, or Albuquerque NM.

You will facilitate requirement meetings, translate user needs into stories, manage DRs/BCRs, and maintain a detailed backlog while supporting testing and CDRLs.

Qualifications

• U.S. citizenship required.
• Active DoD Secret Clearance at minimum.
• Ability to obtain CAC.
• Ability to obtain SIPRNet access and travel as needed.
• Bachelor's degree with 3+ years (or associate's with 5+ years).
• Strong knowledge of Agile methodologies.
• Proficiency with Jira and backlog management.
• Experience with DoD government customers.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate weekly requirements, stakeholder, and technical interchange meetings.

Description

Alaska Northstar Resources (ANR) is currently seeking a Requirements Manager to join our team for an exciting and long-term program supporting Air Force projects. This is a primarily remote position that will require occasional on-site visits to support requirements validation, upload CDRL documentation, and testing activities. Preference will be given for a candidate local to Dayton OH, Montgomery AL, or Albuquerque NM.

The Requirements Manager will play a critical role in ensuring customer and user needs are accurately captured, documented, and communicated throughout the software development lifecycle.

The successful candidate will be responsible for, but not limited to, the following:

• Serve as the primary focal point for the user community by facilitating weekly requirements, stakeholder, and technical interchange meetings
• Demonstrate strong understanding of the product under development, including roadmap, requirements, status, and schedule
• Act as a liaison between the development team and customers to translate requirements, clarify user stories, and define acceptance criteria
• Define, track, and manage the requirements management process, including Baseline Change Requests (BCRs), Discrepancy Reports (DRs), and Software Problem Reports (SPRs)
• Facilitate weekly Agile ceremonies, providing guidance on DRs and clarifying acceptance criteria on BCRs
• Support development and integration testing activities as needed
• Manage the user community requirements intake process through the help desk, translating requests into actionable items for development team review
• Maintain a well-organized product backlog with clear, detailed user stories and acceptance criteria
• Submit Contract Data Requirements Lists (CDRLs) with each deployment / as needed
• Travel on-site occasionally to support requirements validation, upload CDRL documentation, and potentially assist with testing activities

Requirements

Candidate must be U.S. Citizen

Candidate must have Active DoD Secret Clearance (at minimum)

Candidate must have ability to obtain and maintain US government Common Access Card (CAC)

Candidate must have ability to obtain SIPRNet access and be willing and able to travel to and access SIPR facilities as required

Candidate must have a bachelor's degree with 3+ years of experience or an associate's degree with 5+ years of experience, with the following:

• Demonstrated excellence in customer service, stakeholder relationship management, and managing client expectations.
• Experience with multitasking and working effectively in fast-paced environments
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Team player with exceptional time management skills
• In-depth knowledge of Agile methodologies
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Expert-level presentation and stakeholder engagement skills
• Strong proficiency with Jira
• Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving abilities

Training & Continuous Learning Track:

• Stage 1 (CSPO): Must be successfully completed within the first 90 days of hire.
• Stage 2 (A-CSPO): Must be successfully completed within the first 18 months of hire.

Desired Knowledge, Skills, Abilities

• Previous experience serving as a Product Owner or Requirements Manager
• Experience supporting DoD government customers
• Knowledge of Agile or Scrum methodologies
• Experience supporting software development programs throughout the system development lifecycle
• Experience with IGEMS and MICT
• Existing Scrum Product Owner certifications

Preference for a candidate local to Dayton OH, Montgomery AL, or Albuquerque NM
