Job summary

Western Extrusions Corporation seeks a production supervisor for the Anodize Department. The role oversees daily shift activities, ensures safety, quality, and productivity, and drives continuous improvement in a high‑demand manufacturing environment.

The candidate will plan staffing, coordinate cross‑department workflows, and manage training, performance reviews, and hiring to meet production goals on the first shift.

Qualifications

• Must be able to perform the essential duties and responsibilities of the position.
• Knowledgeable in anodizing processes and the chemicals used within the operation, sufficient to effectively supervise staff.
• Previous supervisory experience preferred.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
• Promote and enforce ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and ISO/IEC 27001 standards as they relate to facility operations and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

• Supervise, schedule, and coordinate daily activities of enzymed employees in the Anodize Department for the assigned shift.
• Coordinate workflow with other departments to achieve production efficiency goals.
• Enforce ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and ISO/IEC 27001 compliance within the scope of responsibility.
• Strive to control costs within the anodizing operation, including labor and supplies.
• Coordinate anodizing training to ensure safe and efficient job performance.
• Guide, motivate, and discipline direct reports in line with company guidelines.
• Monitor attendance; coordinate with Payroll to resolve discrepancies.
• Create and conduct Toolbox Meetings on safety, quality, and production topics.
• Ensure safety standards and PPE usage are enforced daily.
• Conduct annual employee performance reviews and recommend compensation within budget.
• Interview and select new hires to meet staffing goals.
• Inform Anodize Manager of employee concerns and production issues.
• Maintain adherence to all policies and procedures.
• Remain vigilant for hazards and unsafe practices; address promptly.
• Ensure machinery is maintained and safe, and employees follow safety procedures.
• Assist the Anodize Manager with production duties.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
