Job summary

New York Law School seeks a highly motivated Annual Leadership Gift Officer to manage a portfolio of alumni and friends driving leadership-level annual fund support. The role partners with the Director of Annual Giving to expand engagement, plan events, and steward donors in a fast-paced advancement environment.

Responsibilities include managing $1,000+ gifts, expanding regional engagement, cultivating planned giving opportunities, growing student event sponsorships, and training alumni

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree with 3-5 years of fundraising/event experience.
• Proven track record of raising 4- and 5-figure gifts.
• Excellent planning, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
• Strong donor stewardship and relationship-building abilities.
• Self-motivated with attention to detail.
• Basic familiarity with Raiser's Edge reporting.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Evidence-based decision-maker with strong analytical skills.
• Ability to build relationships across diverse groups.

Responsibilities

• Manage a portfolio of alumni and prospects capable of making annual gifts of $1,000+, with discovery, qualification, cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship.
• Collaborate with the Director and Associate Dean to expand alumni engagement and philanthropic support in key geographic regions and among alumni with shared interests.
• Identify and introduce planned giving opportunities; partner to advance and close gifts.
• Oversee and grow student event sponsorship opportunities to engage donors.
• Recruit, train, and manage alumni volunteers to support annual giving priorities (Alumni Celebration, Giving Day, Bar Exam Champions Campaign).
• Represent the Office of Institutional Advancement in meetings and events.
• Fulfill other duties to help drive the School’s goals and mission.
