Job summary

The Cox Science Center & Aquarium in West Palm Beach, FL is seeking a Development Officer, Annual Giving to lead the Annual Fund and grow donor support for operations. You will develop outreach, cultivation, solicitation, stewardship, and renewal programs, manage donor portfolios, and collaborate with leadership to reach giving goals and build a strong donor pipeline.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree required.
Experience in nonprofit fundraising, annual giving, development, or related field.
Experience cultivating donor relationships, soliciting philanthropic support, and managing fundraising initiatives.

Responsibilities

Identify and cultivate prospective donors and maintain a pipeline for annual, capital, or endowment support.
Solicit donors through personal outreach, meetings, and tailored communications; coordinate with Development colleagues.
Engage and steward donors to deepen connections and increase giving over time.
Represent the Center's mission in the community and conduct timely donor follow-up.
Develop and implement an annual giving calendar with targeted campaigns.
