Job summary

The Cox Science Center & Aquarium is seeking a Development Officer, Annual Giving to lead the Annual Fund, expand donor support, and build a robust pipeline of individual and corporate donors. You will manage outreach, cultivation, solicitation, stewardship, and renewal strategies, partnering with the Director of Development and volunteers to advance fundraising priorities.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in nonprofit fundraising and annual giving.
• Ability to cultivate relationships and solicit philanthropic support.
• Experience using donor databases to manage relationships and track fundraising performance.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills to convey the Center’s mission.
• Excellent organizational and project management skills to handle multiple priorities.

Responsibilities

• Identify and cultivate prospective donors and maintain a pipeline of supporters.
• Solicit individuals and corporations for Annual Fund through outreach and meetings.
• Engage donors to deepen connections and retention.
• Develop and manage an annual giving calendar and donor campaigns.
