Job summary

City Rescue Mission of New Castle seeks an Annual Fund Manager to oversee the organization’s fundraising efforts, donor cultivation systems, grant activity, and fundraising calendar. This role coordinates day-to-day with TrueSense Marketing (TSM) and supports the President & CEO in major donor relationships while not granting final approval to TSM.

The Annual Fund Manager will also manage donor stewardship processes and oversee internal review of TSM materials, ensuring campaigns run smoothly

Qualifications

  • Experience in nonprofit fundraising and donor stewardship
  • Ability to coordinate multiple campaigns and calendars
  • Familiarity with donor databases and CRM tools

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate the annual fundraising calendar with the President & CEO, CFDO, and TrueSense Marketing (TSM).
  • Manage annual appeals, direct mail campaigns, digital appeals, donor newsletters, monthly giving promotions, donor acquisition, reactivation, and stewardship per the TSM plan.
  • Act as the internal coordinator for TSM campaign workflow, status calls, and deadlines.
  • Review TSM materials and provide CRM comments; notify CEO when campaigns are ready for final approval.
  • Monitor campaign performance and propose improvements for future campaigns.
  • Coordinate the CRM-produced email program (monthly general, monthly church, Lightkeeper, quarterly legacy).

Job description

Position: Annual Fund Manager Reports to Chief Financial & Development Officer
Ministry Purpose:

In accordance with Ephesians 4:11-12, Philippians 2:4, and Titus 2:7-8, the Annual Fund Manager is responsible for managing the Mission annual fundraising efforts, donor cultivation systems, grant activity, fundraising calendar, campaign coordination, donor stewardship processes, and day-to-day coordination with TrueSense Marketing (TSM). The Annual Fund Manager supports the President & CEO in major donor relationships and coordinates internal review of TSM-produced materials, but does not give final approval to TSM.

Primary Responsibilities:

The following constitute the major responsibilities of the Annual Fund Manager:

Spiritual:

The annual Fund Manager shall:

  • Seek to be a role model in attitude, speech, and actions in a consistent daily walk with Jesus Christ.
  • Show by example the importance of Scripture memorization, Bible study, prayer, witnessing, and Christian fellowship.
  • Integrate Biblical principles and a Christian worldview into all ministry objectives and goals.
  • Be prepared to communicate Mission’s religious beliefs to any who inquire.
  • Be ready to pray with and offer spiritual advice to employees and guests.
  • Follow Matthew 18 principles in addressing issues with employees and guests.
Annual Fund and TSM Campaign Management:

The annual Fund Manager shall:

  • Manage the annual fundraising calendar in coordination with the President & CEO, CFDO, and TSM.
  • Coordinate annual appeals, direct mail campaigns, digital appeals, donor newsletters, monthly giving promotions, donor acquisition, lapsed reactivation, and stewardship efforts that are included in the TSM plan.
  • Serve as the primary day-to-day internal coordinator for TSM campaign workflow, monthly status calls, strategy calls, resource requests, and internal deadlines.
  • Review TSM proformas, quarterly strategy briefs, campaign recommendations, audience strategy, and creative direction from a fundraising and donor relationship perspective.
  • Coordinate internal review of TSM proofs in Workfront Proof and submit consolidated CRM comments.
  • Notify the President & CEO when a TSM campaign is ready for final approval.
  • Review campaign performance and recommend improvements for future campaigns.
CRM-Produced Email Program:

The annual Fund Manager shall:

  • Coordinated the recurring CRM-produced email calendar, including the monthly general email, monthly church email, monthly Lightkeeper email, and quarterly legacy email.
