Job summary

Connecticut Humane Society is seeking a Per-Diem Humane Educator to deliver engaging, interactive programs that inspire compassion for pets. This role supports youth and adults, both onsite and in the community, and includes tours of CHS' Pet Resource Centers.

The educator will prepare materials, travel to offsite locations, and maintain a safe, inclusive learning environment while following established curricula.

Qualifications

• At least an associate's degree or two years toward a 4-year degree.
• Ability to teach students across age ranges in various settings.
• Valid driver's license and access to reliable transportation.
• Strong communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Deliver engaging humane education programs onsite and in the community.
• Lead educational tours of CHS Pet Resource Centers.
• Prepare program materials and set up spaces for activities.
• Travel frequently to offsite program locations.
• Ensure safety and engagement of participants.
