Job summary

The County of Tulare's Health & Human Services Agency seeks an Animal Services Operations Manager to lead the Animal Services Division. This at-will role reports to the Division Manager of Fiscal Operations and aligns strategic plans with agency goals.

Responsibilities include supervising division activities, guiding veterinary clinic operations, and developing long-term financial strategies while ensuring compliance with laws. Public outreach and presentations are part of the role.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business administration, public administration, animal science or related field.
• Four (4) years of leadership and administration of public service programs or animal shelter.
• Equivalencies may substitute education with relevant public health or animal services experience.

Responsibilities

• Assign, supervise, and coordinate activities of the Animal Services Division.
• Oversee Veterinary Clinic Operations and plan long-term funding and capital improvements.
• Develop and monitor the program budget, purchasing, and supplies.
• Serve as media contact and present to groups to promote programs.
