Job summary

Altasciences is seeking an Animal Research Tech to perform procedures on laboratory animals in a GLP-compliant setting. You will restrain animals, collect specimens, and manage data according to SOPs and protocols.

The role requires attention to detail, basic computer skills, and the ability to work well with teams. A high school diploma is required; ALAT certification is preferred and housing options may be available.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; BA/BS in a scientific discipline preferred.
• Experience working with animals in research or regulated environments is preferred.
• ALAT certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform procedures on study and stock animals following SOPs and protocols.
• Record, enter and review raw data and study records.
• Set up for procedures and maintain ancillaries on study animals.
• Operate laboratory equipment such as glucometer and digital thermometer.
• Monitor animal health and report changes to supervisors.
