The City of Little Rock HR is seeking a dedicated individual for a vital role at the Little Rock Zoo, focused on providing exceptional care to various animals. This position requires hands-on experience or relevant educational background in biology or animal care. Applicants should be prepared to work flexible hours, including nights and weekends, to ensure the well-being of the animals.
To perform various duties required to maintain a clean and healthy environment for animals at the Little Rock Zoo.
This is a safety/security sensitive position for purposes of the Arkansas Medical Marijuana Amendment and is subject to random drug and/or alcohol testing.

These knowledge, skills, and abilities are usually, although not always, acquired through completion of high school and six (6) months of experience in the care of birds, carnivores, large and small hoof stock, primates, reptiles, or other exotic animals in a controlled environment, (based on departmental need) OR two (2) or more years of related education (biology, zoology, wildlife biology, etc.) with an internship in a zoo or sanctuary setting. Equivalent combinations of education and experience will be considered.
