Job summary

The City of Greeley is seeking an Animal Control Officer to respond to animal-related calls, enforce ordinances, and transport animals to the shelter. You will also perform welfare checks, gather evidence, and complete routine reports.

Qualified candidates have 2–4 years of relevant experience and a High School diploma; a Bachelor's degree is preferred. Bilingual English/Spanish skills are a plus. This position requires local travel and interaction with the public and partner agencies.

Qualifications

• Two to four years of relevant experience.
• High School diploma.
• Experience operating large and modified police equipment such as kennels, nets, cages, humane traps, catchpole, tranquilizer gear, and related tools.

Responsibilities

• Respond to animal-related calls and enforce municipal ordinances.
• Transport animals to the shelter and conduct welfare checks.
• Prepare routine reports and enter data into the records system.
• Interact with the public and other agencies during calls and investigations.
• Occasional local travel within the county may be required.
