Qualifications

• Experiences in animal handling preferred.
• Must be able to manage animals safely and humanely.

Responsibilities

• Respond to citizen complaints and reports about animals and cruelty to animals.
• Intercede in conflicts about animals and investigate animal control issues to determine violations.
• Issue warnings, citations, summons, and licenses.
• Prepare and present reports for review and testify in court.
• Patrol Provo City in a marked vehicle to protect citizens and animals.
• Collect and impound vicious, injured, dead, sick, rabid, problematic, and stray animals or wildlife.
• Utilize animal containment tools and equipment.
• Investigate animal bite complaints or suspected rabies cases.
• Handle lethal and controlled hazardous substances to euthanize animals.
• Assist in traffic control as needed.
• May inspect pet stores.
