Job summary
Warwick Valley Humane Society in the Town of Warwick, NY is seeking a reliable and compassionate Animal Control Officer. Responsibilities include protecting and caring for animals, rescuing stray and injured animals, and assisting in investigating animal cruelty cases. Candidates must be at least 21 years old and have a clean driver’s license. The position includes on-call shifts, and the starting pay is $16.50/hr., increasing to $17/hr. upon assuming full duties. Training and active engagement with the public are essential.

- Must be 21yrs+, reliable, punctual.
- Clean driver’s license and background, own transportation.
- Live within 20 minutes of the non‑profit Warwick animal shelter.
- Able to lift 50lbs.
- Work well with coworkers, follow instructions, assist the public.
- Animal Care Attendant training prior to Animal Control appointment.
- Will include 2–3 on call nights for emergency situations.
