Job summary

Argenta is hiring an Animal Care Technician at our Manhattan, KS location. The role focuses on caring for animals, supporting veterinarians, and maintaining equipment. You’ll multitask, collaborate with a team, and contribute to data collection following study protocols.

Ideal candidates have experience with animals (large and small), strong communication, and the ability to work well under supervision. The position may require on-call duties and lifting up to 50 lbs.

Qualifications

• Experience working with animals; large and small.
• Ability to work well with others and maintain composure.
• Ability to work collaboratively and communicate effectively both written and orally.

Responsibilities

• Clean and perform daily chores under the direction of senior staff and veterinarians.
• Collect research data and samples in accordance with study protocols and Good Documentation Practices.
• Assist veterinarians in observations and procedures and inform veterinarians if abnormalities are observed.
• Promote and maintain the well-being of animals including feeding and basic care.
• Repair, maintain and operate equipment/machinery.
• Perform administrative duties that support the care of animals and site functions.
• Record information timely and accurately.
• Build relationships with key individuals and contributors in the organization and beyond.
