Job summary

Fortis Life Sciences in Montgomery, Texas is hiring an Animal Care Associate to join our animal operations team. This onsite role runs Monday through Friday, 6:00am–3:00pm, with overtime and weekend work as needed.

You will maintain animal housing, assist with blood collection, observe health, and support facility operations. Candidates should have a high school diploma or GED and be willing to be trained in animal care, handling, and equipment operation.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Willingness to be trained in animal care, handling, and tool operation.
• Ability to communicate with supervisors, follow instructions, and multitask.

Responsibilities

• Maintain clean, safe housing for all animals.
• Handle animals and collect blood using safe techniques.
• Monitor health and report concerns promptly to the health team.
• Operate and assist with equipment and basic facility maintenance.
• Work cooperatively with team and adhere to schedules and overtime as needed.
