Boston University is seeking a Laboratory Animal Care Technician to perform a variety of tasks related to the care of laboratory animals at the Animal Science Center. This position includes responsibilities such as providing food and water, cleaning cages, observing animal health, and maintaining accurate records. The role requires a high school diploma and prefers some experience in animal care, along with knowledge of animal husbandry methods and laboratory operations.
Perform a variety of tasks related to the care of all Animal Science Centers laboratory animals and the maintenance of the animal facilities. Some of those species being mice, rats, zebrafish, zebra finches, and more. Technicians can be rotated across facilities and at times assigned specifically to facilities needing coverage.
