Purdue University’s Veterinary Hospital is seeking an Administrative and Operational Support 2 to assist with daily animal care and facility operations in West Lafayette, Indiana.

The role involves monitoring animal environments, feeding and caring for a variety of species, handling supplies, and following established procedures to ensure safe, efficient operations for students, faculty, and staff.

Qualifications

• Able to read and write English.
• Ability to work without close supervision.
• Ability to follow verbal and written instructions.
• Proficiency in operating power tools.
• Must lift and carry 25–50 pounds frequently and up to 100 pounds occasionally.
• Comfort around small and large animal species (dogs/cats/horses/etc.).
• Valid US or Canadian driver’s license.

Responsabilités

You will feed, water, groom, bathe, exercise, and provide daily care that supports animal welfare and high-quality operations. What We’re Looking For:
Education and Experience:

• High school diploma/GED
• 2 years of custodial/Laundry experience and 1 year of animal handling
• Valid US or Canadian driver's license

Skills Needed:

• Must be able to read/write English
• Ability to work without close supervision
• Ability to follow verbal and written instructions
• Must be able to operate power tools
• Must be able to lift and carry 25 to 50 pounds frequently and up to 100 pounds occasionally
