Position Overview

The Operations Leader - Animal Care promotes and ensures the efficient and effective operations of the Companion Animal Department, driving sales of aquatic pets, reptiles, birds, and small companion animals. This leader coaches and mentors Pet Care Center partners in processes that support and enhance the guest experience and animal care. Responsibilities include training, developing, supporting operations scheduling, and leading a high-performing team to meet sales goals, gross margin, and animal and merchandise shrink targets. The role also involves managing all aspects of the Pet Care Center's business in line with Petco standards and safety procedures.
