Qualifications

• Applicants must be 18 years or older.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Willing to train the right candidate with no prior veterinary experience.
• Comfortable around dogs and cats of all sizes and temperaments.
• Strong work ethic, reliability and punctuality.
• Professional communication with clients and coworkers.
• Basic computer skills and ability to learn veterinary software.
• Flexible schedule including weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Provides compassionate care to pets.
• Feeds animals as prescribed; records appetite, water intake, and waste.
• Recognizes unusual conditions and reports them promptly.
• Assists veterinarians and technicians with pet restraint.
• Maintains hospital cleanliness and sanitizes cages and facilities.
• Prioritizes tasks and completes weekly/monthly chore lists.
• Maintains kennel laundry and provides fresh bedding.
• Walks patients and communicates health recommendations to clients.
• Performs other duties as assigned by Manager.
