Job summary

Animal Friends of the Valleys is seeking an Animal Care Specialist to join our team in Wildomar, CA. You will interact with dogs, cats, and other small animals, ensuring they are fed, exercised, and kept in a clean, safe environment.

The position offers full-time hours at $17.00 per hour with benefits including medical, dental, vision, life insurance, and a 403B retirement plan. You will participate in training and have opportunities for professional growth while helping clients find loving

Qualifications

• Some animal handling and care experience preferred.
• Ability to clean, lift, bend, walk and handle animals, supplies and equipment.

Responsibilities

• Lots of interaction with dogs, cats, some bunnies and the occasional exotic pet.
• Ensure animal residents are well cared for, properly fed, have exercise time, and are in a safe, clean environment.
• Train in proper cleaning and sanitation methods; daily kennel and facility cleaning.
• Assist clients by answering questions and helping them find their forever homes.

Animal Care Specialist

What you will be doing:

• Lots of interaction with dogs, cats, some bunnies and the occasional exotic pet
• Responsibility for ensuring that all our animal residents are well cared for, properly fed, have exercise time and are in a safe, clean environment
• Training in proper cleaning and sanitation methods, and daily cleaning of kennels and facility areas to maintain safe, clean environments
• Improve your customer service skills by answering client questions and assisting them as they seek to find the perfect pet to bring them to their forever home

What you’ll need:

• Some animal handling and care experience preferred; particularly with dogs and cats.
• Ability to clean, lift, bend, walk and handle animals, supplies and equipment
