Job Summary

Position is responsible for the day-to-day care and treatment of the animals that are brought to the shelter. Position will perform duties pertaining to kennel maintenance, custodial responsibilities, and maintaining a disease-free environment for animals at the facility. Interacts with the public, fellow staff, community service, and volunteers professionally and with exceptional customer service. Is expected to work safely and maintain a consistency with ACCD vision and mission statements and beliefs, policy, and procedures. Must be able to obtain/maintain Euthanasia Certification from the Humane Society of the United States.

Must be able to communicate both in oral and written format.Work is performed in a kennel area where the incumbent is exposed to dust, noise, bending, lifting, and other hazards of a kennel environment.
