Job Summary

We are seeking an Animal Care Giver Doggy Day Care Counselor to join our team! As a Doggy Day Care Counselor, you will spend your days tending to the animals under our care, including feeding, refilling water bowls, offering treats and companionship, and ensuring the environment is clean and safe. You will also socialize dogs in an open play environment. The ideal candidate is comfortable working with all types of dogs, can work on their feet for long periods, and works well in a team.

Responsibilities

• Follow guidelines to feed all types of dogs, ensuring proper dietary guidelines are followed
• Clean and maintain pet enclosures for a safe, healthy environment
• Socialize and exercise animals as needed
• Interact with animals to provide a positive human experience
• Maintain records of care given during your shift
• Love dogs and accept direction
• Work as part of a team
• Available to work full-time during morning (6:15 am - 1:00 pm) or afternoon shifts (11:45 am - 7:00 pm)
• Available to work weekends and holidays
• Punctual, reliable, responsible, flexible, and on time

Qualifications

• Comfortable working with dogs of all sizes and types
• Prior experience with dogs preferred
• First Aid and CPR certification for dogs required within 60 days of employment
• Comfortable working on your feet for extended periods
• Familiarity with basic computer programs
• Must be 18 or older
• Must speak English
• Must have Social Security card, be authorized to work in the US, and have a valid ID
