AFB International is seeking an Animal Care Technician to join our team and provide compassionate care for dogs and cats in accordance with the Animal Welfare Act. You will feed, monitor health, document observations, and help maintain clean, safe enclosures in a supportive environment.

The role emphasizes teamwork, adherence to safety standards, and opportunity to grow within animal care operations. High school diploma and 6 months of experience are preferred, with physical ability to lift up

Qualifications

• Must have passion for animal welfare and ability to socialize animals in a safe environment.
• Excellent observation skills to monitor animal health and behavior.

Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate care and daily attention to animals.
• Prepare meals, conduct feeding trials, ensure access to clean water.
• Maintain sanitation of enclosures and adhere to safety standards.
• Socialize and exercise dogs and cats; provide enrichment.
• Monitor animal health and report concerns to the team.
• Accurately document animal information and records.
• Assist with intake of new animals and supplies.
