CityVet Mid-Cities is seeking an Animal Care Assistant to provide compassionate care for patients and support for the team. The ACA ensures housing, hygiene, meals, and enrichment for animals while maintaining accurate records and reporting changes to supervisors.

The role emphasizes safety, cleanliness, and a hands-on approach in a welcoming clinic that values dedicated team members and patient-focused care.

Qualifications

• Lift 50 lbs to waist height.
• High school diploma or GED.
• At least 18 years of age at the time of hire.
• Frequent standing, bending, walking, lifting, carrying, and reaching.

Responsibilities

• Provide all animals with housing, bathing, walking, food, water, bedding, toys and enrichment, and social interaction with humans and other animals.
• Monitor health physically and behaviorally and report issues to the supervisor.
• Accurately record and maintain patient records including vital sign measurements.
