AbbVie in Illinois seeks a Behavioral Technician I to support the Behavioral Management program. You will perform operant conditioning, enrichment, behavioral monitoring, and positive reinforcement for research animals while guiding Animal Care Technicians.

You will document trainings, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and participate in on-site enrichment trainings. The role requires ALAT-level certification eligibility, strong communication, and a dedication to animal welfare.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required with 3+ years in a lab animal setting.
• ALAT certification eligibility or LAT certification preferred.
• Knowledge of regulatory requirements and basic lab computer systems.

Responsabilités

• Assist with positive reinforcement training and enrichment of research animals.
• Support training of staff on operant conditioning and enrichment strategies.
• Maintain documentation of trainings, timelines, and observations.
• Collaborate with Comparative Medicine and other teams to improve enrichment programs.
