Job summary

Eliassen Group in Pittsburgh, PA is seeking an experienced Front-End Developer to build and maintain Angular applications, targeting recent Angular versions and modern TypeScript patterns.

This contract-to-hire role is hybrid (4 days onsite) with W-2 benefits, rate $70–$75 per hour. You will work in an Agile team, interface with backend APIs, and contribute to code quality using SDLC practices.

Qualifications

• 5+ years building Angular apps, with exposure to Angular 19+ and Angular signals.
• Strong TypeScript, component-driven development, and modern Angular patterns.
• Experience with Agile workflows and tools (Jira, GitHub/GitLab).
• Backend API data access and basic SQL in MS SQL Server.

Responsibilities

• Develop, enhance, and maintain Angular front-end features using recent Angular versions, targeting version 21.
• Collaborate within an Agile team to refine requirements, plan sprints, and deliver increments.
• Interface with backend API services and handle data integration tasks.
• Create and update basic SQL queries and adjust SQL used by API layers in MS SQL Server.
• Follow the software development life cycle, including testing and documentation.
• Participate in test plan and test data reviews, and support quality assurance activities.
• Contribute to enterprise transformation initiatives and propose practical technology solutions.
• Leverage AI development tools to improve code quality and productivity.

This is a contract to hire opportunity. Applicants must be willing and able to work on a w2 basis and convert to FTE following contract duration.

Responsibilities:

Experience Requirements:

• 5+ years of professional experience building applications with Angular, including exposure to Angular 19 or above and familiarity with Angular signals.
• Proficiency with TypeScript, component-driven development, and modern Angular patterns.
• Experience working in Agile environments with tools such as Jira and GitLab or GitHub.
• Ability to work with backend data via APIs and perform basic SQL tasks in MS SQL Server.
• Understanding of SDLC practices, testing approaches, and documentation standards.
• Financial services experience is a plus.

Education Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or a related discipline, or equivalent work experience.
