Job summary

Qualifications

• 5 to 7 years of QA automation experience.
• Experience in front-end and back-end automation.
• Strong skills in Python, Java, JavaScript or TypeScript.
• Hands-on with JMeter, Selenium, Jasmine, and Cucumber.
• Knowledge of Veracode and SonarQube.
• Familiar with Serenity and Playwright.
• Experience with AWS Code Services and Spring Boot is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain automated test scripts for front-end applications using Angular, NodeJS, JavaScript, and TypeScript.
• Implement back-end API testing using tools and frameworks including JMeter, Selenium WebDriver, Jasmine, and Cucumber.
• Integrate automated testing into CI/CD pipelines and collaborate with development and QA teams.
• Perform back-end automation and scripting using Python, C, or Java.
• Build and enhance front-end test scripts for Angular applications using JavaScript and TypeScript.
• Apply TDD and BDD to achieve comprehensive test coverage and shared understanding.
• Conduct performance testing with JMeter and web testing with Selenium, unit testing with Jasmine, and behavior-driven testing with Cucumber. Validate back-end services with API-based frameworks.
• Use Veracode and SonarQube for security assessments and code quality.
• Execute end-to-end testing of Angular 16 applications with Serenity and Playwright.
• Validate data integrity using Oracle databases.
• Work with AWS Code Services and partner with AWS infrastructure teams to streamline CI/CD.
• Stay current with emerging technologies and best practices to improve testing.
• Communicate testing requirements and results with developers, product managers, and stakeholders.

Our client seeks a Quality Automation Engineer to design, implement, and maintain automated testing across front-end and back-end systems. The role will build robust test suites for Angular applications, validate APIs and performance, and integrate automation into CI/CD. The engineer will collaborate with cross-functional teams, apply TDD and BDD practices, uphold code quality and security standards, and contribute to continuous improvement of testing strategies and tooling.

This is a contract to hire opportunity. Applicants must be willing and able to work on a w2 basis and convert to FTE following contract duration. Rate: $60.00 to $69.00/hr. w2

Experience Requirements:

• 5 to 7 years of QA automation experience.
• Proven experience in both front-end and back-end automation.
• Strong programming skills in Python, C or Java, JavaScript, and TypeScript.
• Hands-on experience with JMeter, Selenium, Jasmine, and Cucumber.
• Knowledge of mortgage-backed securities (MBS) preferred.
• Familiarity with Veracode and SonarQube.
• Knowledge of Serenity and Playwright for end-to-end testing of Angular applications.
• Experience with AWS Code Services and Spring Boot is a plus.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
