Job summary

The Angio Technologist at Trinity Health in Silver Spring performs high quality angiography procedures and supports physicians in the Cardiac Catheterization Lab, using precise positioning and sterile technique.

You will prep patients, monitor during procedures, ensure patient confidentiality, participate in quality improvement, and handle on-call duties with flexible scheduling in a part-time/PRN capacity.

Qualifications

• BLS certification (American Heart Association); Life Support training as applicable to unit requirements.
• Graduates of AMA approved Radiologic Technology Program.
• Certification by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists.
• Licensed Radiologic Technologist by the State of Maryland.
• Certificate in Cardiac Interventional Radiography or RCIS strongly preferred for Cardiac Catheterization Lab work.

Responsibilities

• Preps patients for procedures using sterile technique.
• Observes patients during exam/procedure and reports any abnormal activity.
• Maintains confidentiality of patient and organization-related information.
• Identifies care needs of patients and implements interventions with necessary equipment for all patient populations.
• Participates in quality assessment and improvement programs.
• Performs other duties as assigned, including on-call, transport, room cleaning, and stocking.

Position Purpose

• The Angio Technologist produces high quality examinations while assuring proper and professional care of the patient while in Medical Imaging Services or the Cardiac Catheterization Lab. Assists physician in performing interventional radiology and cardiac catheterization procedures. This position required the application of precise positioning techniques combined with accurate settings of technical factors as well as the monitoring of equipment toinsureproper functioning. Constant mental attention isrequiredwhile performing studies and proper steriletechnique. Accountable for the operation of equipment.

As a "Angio Technologist" you will:

• Preps patients for procedures using sterile technique

• Observes patients during exam/procedure, reporting any abnormal activity

• Maintains confidentiality of patient and organization-related information.

• Identifies care needs of patients/significant others and implements interventions and utilizes equipment necessary to meet the specific needs of the patient population served to include: pediatric, adults, and late adults.

• Participates in quality assessment and improvement programs.

• Completes other duties as assigned such as on-call, transporting patients, cleaning rooms, stocking supplies, peer review, etc.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Graduate of AMA approved Radiologic Technology Program.

• Certification by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists.

• Licensed Radiologic Technologist by the State of Maryland.

• If working in the Cardiac Catheterization Lab, a Certificate in Cardiac Interventional Radiography or Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist is strongly preferred.

• BLS certification (American Heart Association);additionalLife Support training as applicable to unit requirements.

Pay Range: $35.41- $53.12

Pay is based on experience, skills, and education. Exempt positions under the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) will be paid within the base salary equivalent of the stated hourly rates. The pay range may also vary within the stated range based on location.
