Intermountain Health is seeking an Angio/Interventionalist to perform angiography procedures, scrubbing, setting techniques, and capturing diagnostic images. You will support the Imaging service line and contribute to patient care and safety in a collaborative team environment.

Position involves maintaining licensure, assisting as a circulating/scrub/monitoring tech, and ensuring high-quality images with strict radiation safety.

Qualifications

• ARRT certification required or on hire.
• BCLS certification required.
• ACLS certification within 120 days.
• State licensure/certifications as applicable.
• PALS for pediatric hospitals within 120 days.

Responsabilités

• Maintain up-to-date licensure and certifications for the position.
• Provide procedural assistance as circulating, scrub, or monitoring tech per policies.
• Operate IR equipment and related systems to ensure quality images.
• Verify patient identity and prepare patient for exam.
• Follow radiation safety guidelines and maintain a safe environment.
• Follow protocol for medical necessity, coding, consents and QC programs.
• Educate patient, ensure comfort, address concerns.
• Maintain records of patient information and procedures.
• Coordinate patient care and communicate with providers.
• Suture sheath or apply pressure to achieve hemostasis post-procedure.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintains up-to-date licensure and certifications required for position.
• Provides procedural assistance as a circulating tech, scrub tech, or monitoring tech, according to Angio lab policies and procedures and Scope of Practice documents.
• Understands and operates IR equipment and related information systems appropriately to ensure that quality images are produced.
• Ensures proper patient identification, order verification, and prepares the patient for the exam.
• Adheres to radiation safety guidelines and maintains a safe working environment for patients and staff. Develops specific knowledge about invasive, diagnostic, and interventional supplies, appropriate indications and applications, and proper use and deployment techniques.
• Follows appropriate protocol for medical necessity, coding and charging guidelines, obtaining necessary consents, maintaining applicable QC programs, and reporting any equipment failures or problems.
• Provides appropriate patient education, ensures patient comfort, and address patient and/or family concerns.
• Keeps accurate records of patient information, procedures performed, and any adverse reactions or incidents.
• Coordinates patient care and communicates pertinent information to other patient care providers following procedure.
• At the end of the procedure, suture the sheath in place, or remove the sheath and apply pressure to obtain hemostasis.

• Ability to interact and communicate effectively with other caregivers and patients.
• Demonstrates understanding of anatomy, anatomic terminology, and positioning competency.
• Knowledge and adherence to infection control and sterile techniques.

Angio/Interventionalist I: Required Qualifications

• ARRT - American Registry Upon Hire
• BCLS - Basic Life Support
• ACLS - within 120 Days
• Relevant State Licensure and/or certifications
• PALS - Pediatric Advanced within 120 Days (for pediatric hospitals)

Angio/Interventionalist I: Preferred Qualifications

• 1-2 years Angio/Interventional experience, or 1-2 years vascular or interventional experience
• Vascular/Interventional radiography (VIR) certification

Angio/Interventionalist II: Required Qualifications

• ARRT - American Registry Upon Hire
• BCLS - Basic Life Support
• ACLS - within 120 Days
• Relevant State Licensure and/or certifications
• PALS - Pediatric Advanced within 120 Days (for pediatric hospitals)
• Minimum 2 years Angio/Interventional experience or Vascular/Interventional radiography certification.

Angio/Interventionalist II: Preferred Qualifications

• Vascular/Interventional radiography (VIR) certification

Physical & Technical Requirements

Contract Details

• Part-time (30 hours), Variable, three 10's.

• The hourly range for this position is listed below. Actual hourly rate dependent upon experience.$35.60 - $54.93
