The Salvation Army in Dallas, TX is seeking a Seasonal Full-Time Warehouse Associate to support the Christmas Warehouse operations.

You will assist with cleaning and organizing the Christmas warehouse, set up displays, move items, and assist during Angel Tree distributions. You must read, write and communicate in English and be able to lift heavy objects and stand for extended periods.

Formación

• High School diploma or GED is required.
• Ability to lift heavy objects and perform physical tasks.
• Basic reading and written English to communicate and follow instructions.

Responsabilidades

• Assist with janitorial and general clean-up in the Christmas warehouse.
• Support Angel Tree distributions at Christmas warehouse locations.
• Set up trees, tables and displays for Christmas, and disassemble after the season.
• Move items to appropriate destinations and maintain a neat warehouse.
• Clean racks, shelves, floors and ensure a welcoming store environment.
• Arrange items in the warehouse as directed.

Job Details: Job Location: TX-Dallas Cmas WH - Dallas, TX 75235, Position Type: Seasonal Full Time, Education Level: High School Diploma/GED, Job Category: Christmas, Assists in maintaining the Christmas Warehouse in a clean, neat, inviting and orderly manner; places and arranges items in the warehouse as directed;provides information and answers questions regarding the Christmas Warehouse setup and distribution of the Angel Tree gift process.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assists with janitorial and general clean-up work at Christmas warehouse facility or assigned location as needed.
• Assists at the Area Command Christmas warehouse locations during Christmas Angel Tree distribution as requested.
• Assists with setting up trees, tables and stands for Christmas display and disassembling at the end of the Christmas Season
• Lifts and carries items to the appropriate destination for further processing, storage or discarding for disposal
• Maintains warehouse area in a neat and orderly manner; cleans floors, tables and work areas.
• Cleans all display racks and shelves; sweeps and mops floors; cleans windows and mirrors; ensures that the store is maintained in a clean and inviting manner.
• Places and arranges items in the warehouse as directed.

Physical Requirements and Working Conditions:

• Ability to meet attendance requirements.
• Ability to read, write and communicate the English language effectively.
• Ability to perform continuous walking, stooping, standing, and some climbing.
• Duties require frequent periods of physical mobility including but not limited to standing, walking, climbing, bending, squatting, and lifting. Physical duties may be relieved by brief or occasional periods of sitting.
• Extensive amount of physical effort required associated with lifting, moving, and carrying heavy objects (more than 35 lbs.) frequently.
