Job summary

SALVATION ARMY A GEORGIA CORP is seeking a Seasonal Full Time position in Dallas, TX to assist with the Christmas Angel Tree Program. You will help individuals adopt Angels, provide information, and ensure timely preparation and return of gifts while coordinating with volunteers.

The role requires a High School diploma or GED and a valid driver’s license, with duties performed primarily on-site in a church or community setting during the Christmas season.

Job Details: Job Location: TX-North TX Area Command - Dallas, TX 75235, Position Type: Seasonal Full Time, Education Level: High School Diploma/GED, Travel Percentage: None, Job Category: Christmas, Works with Corps/Area Command Officer and Development department (if applicable) in communicating with about adopting Angels with donors and volunteers needs and assessments. Makes sure all information and necessary items to fulfill the adoption of Angels in a timely and efficient manner for pick up and return of gifts. Manages the Angel Tree Program; recruits, trains, coordinates the work of volunteers ensuring sample staff to meet Christmas Angel Tree program needs; prepares records and reports for the Christmas Angel Tree program.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist individuals with adopting Angels as part of the Christmas Angel Tree Program.
• Provides information and answers questions regarding adoption of Angels
• Provides prompt and courteous service to all individuals.
• Prepares and maintains accurate records related to the Angel Tree adoption and gift process.

Physical Requirements and Working Conditions:

• Ability to meet attendance requirements.
• Ability to read, write, and communicate the English language.
• Ability to sort and file documents alphabetically and numerically.
• Ability to concentrate and pay close attention to detail with constant breaks in concentration associated with answering questions or speaking to individuals requiring assistance.
• Ability to perform all duties with an understanding of the mission, ministry, philosophy, culture, and protocol of The Salvation Army and conducts all duties in accordance with the ministry of the organization and its Christian principles; conducts all communications and job duties with the highest level of professionalism.
• Duties are usually performed seated, but may require walking, standing, lifting and carrying.
• Limited amount of physical effort required associated with walking, standing, lifting and carrying light objects (less than 25 lbs.) 5-10% of work time.
• Work is performed indoors where there are little or no physical discomforts associated with changes in weather or discomforts associated with noise, dust, dirt, and the like.
