Job summary

The Jerry L. Pettis Memorial Veterans Hospital in Loma Linda, CA is seeking an Intermittent - Permanent - Physician (Anesthesiology) to join the Anesthesiology Service.

The role reports to the Service Chief of Anesthesiology and encompasses preoperative evaluation, anesthesia administration, and perioperative management within a multidisciplinary VA setting. Qualified candidates will have an MD/DO, full US license, VA or ABMS residency alignment, and certification/eligibility for board

Qualifications

• Basic requirements include MD/DO degree and full/unrestricted medical license in the US
• Residency training approved by VA/ABMS with board eligibility or certification
• Proficiency in spoken and written English

Responsibilities

• Assess and prepare patients for anesthesia including pre-operative evaluation
• Provide anesthesia during surgical procedures and manage perioperative care
• Monitor and restore homeostasis during perioperative and critical care periods
• Supervise and teach anesthesia and critical care staff and participate in research/quality improvement
