Position Overview

The Ohio State University College of Medicine and the Wexner Medical Center are seeking exceptional board-certified/eligible anesthesiologists to join our team within the Department of Anesthesiology. Opportunities are available at the ranks of Assistant Professor, Associate Professor, or Professor, with a focus on clinical care, education, and/or research.

The primary duties include providing perioperative care at University Hospital, The James Comprehensive Cancer Hospital, and outpatient surgical centers. Leadership roles are available. We offer a competitive academic salary, bonuses, excellent benefits, including retirement and tuition reimbursement. Academic rank and track depend on experience and record.

Department/Division Overview

The Department of Anesthesiology comprises 128 physicians, CRNA/CAA staff, clinician scientists, residents, fellows, anesthesia technicians, and administrative staff. It offers six academic divisions: Critical Care, Pain, Cardiothoracic, OB, Ambulatory, and General Anesthesia. The department is committed to teaching, training, and research, offering multiple fellowships including cardiothoracic, critical care, obstetric, pain, regional, neuroanesthesiology, and leadership programs. A pediatric anesthesiology fellowship is also available in partnership with Nationwide Children’s Hospital.

Requirements

• MD or DO
• Completion of an accredited Anesthesiology Residency
• Board Certified or Eligible in Anesthesiology
• Eligible for Ohio Medical License
