Job description

Faculty position employed by the University of Texas at Tyler School of Medicine, practicing in UT Health East Texas facilities.

UT Tyler School of Medicine - UT Health East Texas located in Tyler, TX seeks a BE/BC Critical Care Anesthesiologist to join our health system comprised of 10 hospitals and more than 70 physician clinics. UT Health East Texas and The University of Texas Health Science Center at Tyler combine to serve as the university medical center for Northeast Texas and beyond.

Position Details: Physician will practice at UT Health Tyler and occasionally at UT Health North Campus Tyler with exposure to a wide variety of post-operative cardiac, thoracic, and vascular surgical patients.

• Teaching responsibilities may include participation on service with internal medicine residents, family medicine residents, anesthesia residents, and medical students.
• We anticipate our anesthesia residency training program to begin June 2024.
• Research is not mandatory but available for clinical faculty interested in pursuing it.

• 501-bed, level I trauma center, tertiary hospital, 74-bed ICU capacity
• Medical staff of over 600 physicians including subspecialists
• Full-time critical care PAs support the ICU team
• Utilization of point-of-care ultrasound and other advanced critical care skills
