Chippenham Hospital in Richmond, Virginia, is seeking a BC/BE General Anesthesiologist to join a dedicated anesthesia team. The role supports a Level 1 Trauma Center with a broad case mix across Trauma, Vascular, Thoracic, OB, General, Orthopedics, Urology, GYN, GI and Pediatrics.

With an annual volume of about 17,000 surgeries and 500 labor epidurals, the team operates in a collaborative environment. In-house hours roughly 40–45 per week and additional compensation for extra call are offered.

Qualifications

• MD or DO licensure and ABA board eligibility/certification.
• Unrestricted Virginia medical license and DEA required before employment.
• Care team includes 9 General Anesthesiologists, 4 CV Anesthesiologists and 34 CRNAs across 20 sites.
• Diverse case mix: Trauma, Vascular, Thoracic, OB, General, Orthopedics, Urology, GYN, GI and Pediatrics.
• Annual surgical volume around 17,000; ~500 labor epidurals annually.

HCA Healthcare Anesthesia Services is seeking a BC/BE General Anesthesiologist to join the cohesive and supportive team at Chippenham Hospital in Richmond, Virginia. This Level 1 Trauma Center has proudly been serving Central VA for over 50 years and is committed to providing the highest quality patient care with compassion and leading edge expertise.

Opportunity Highlights/Qualified Candidates:

• MD or DO licensure from an accredited institution and ABA board eligibility/certification required.
• Must be able to obtain an unrestricted medical license and DEA from the state of Virginia prior to employment.
• Care Team Model of 9 General Anesthesiologists, 4 CV Anesthesiologists and 34 CRNAs covering 20 sites of service.
• Diverse mix of cases including Trauma, Vascular, Thoracic, OB, General, Orthopedics, Urology, GYN, GI and Pediatrics.
• Annual surgical volume 17,000 cases. 500 labor epidurals on average.
• Average work week 40-45 hours in house.
• Call shifts are split equally amongst the team (in-house, no “home call”). Post call day off.
• Calls picked up beyond contracted numbers garner additional compensation.
