Qualifications

• MD or DO licensure from an accredited institution and ABA board eligibility/certification required.
• Must be able to obtain an unrestricted medical license and DEA from the state of Virginia prior to employment.
• Care Team Model of 9 General Anesthesiologists, 4 CV Anesthesiologists and 34 CRNAs covering 20 sites of service.
• Diverse mix of cases including Trauma, Vascular, Thoracic, OB, General, Orthopedics, Urology, GYN, GI and Pediatrics.
• Annual surgical volume 17,000 cases. 500 labor epidurals on average.

Responsibilities

• Provide anesthesia services for a diverse mix of cases including trauma, vascular, thoracic, OB, general, orthopedics, urology, GYN, GI and pediatrics.
• Collaborate with a large care team of general and CV anesthesiologists and CRNAs.
• Maintain a standard in-house call schedule with post-call day off and compensations for additional calls.

This Level 1 Trauma Center has proudly been serving Central VA for over 50 years and is committed to providing the highest quality patient care with compassion and leading edge expertise.

Opportunity Highlights/Qualified Candidates

• Call shifts are split equally amongst the team (in-house, no “home call”). Post call day off.
