Anesthesiology Physician at Vituity

Summary:

The Anesthesiology Regional Director at Vituity is responsible for overseeing the operational and financial performance of multiple healthcare sites, ensuring high-quality patient care and collaboration among clinicians. This role involves strategic leadership, including managing contracts, solving operational issues, and mentoring medical directors to enhance practice line integration. With a focus on inclusivity and team success, the Regional Director drives positive impacts within local communities and supports organizational goals.

The Opportunity:

  1. Work with Medical Directors to review site performance, address problems, and ensure profitability.
  2. Review monthly performance reports and implement corrective actions.
  3. Assist MDs with issues related to payers, accounts receivable, etc.
  4. Monitor site contributions and subsidies.
  5. Negotiate managed care contracts affecting sites in your region.
  6. Manage debt forgiveness when applicable.
  7. Lead or assist in contract negotiations with payers and hospitals.
  8. Operate new sites within budget.
  9. Optimize incentives and ensure contract compliance.
  10. Manage start-ups, Year One, and Hot Spot calls.
  11. Seek approval for subsidy increases from the COO.
  12. Ensure operational and quality performance at sites.
  13. Support MDs in resolving operational or financial issues.
  14. Ensure high-quality medical care across practice lines.
  15. Identify and implement opportunities for practice line integration.
  16. Engage in collaboratives, set the tone, and hold teams accountable.
  17. Allocate resources effectively within the region.
  18. Collaborate on initiatives like performance improvement and site start-ups.
  19. Lead regional site in Vituity collaboratives.
  20. Maintain oversight of site metrics and operational processes.
  21. Provide leadership to partners and employees.
  22. Onboard, mentor, and evaluate Medical Directors.
  23. Support recruitment and onboarding of new providers.
  24. Represent Vituity and communicate policies and procedures.
  25. Work clinically at struggling sites as needed.
  26. Promote inclusivity and equity within Vituity.
  27. Lead with integrity, recognizing individual contributions.
  28. Ensure compliance and timely sign-off on administrative tasks.
  29. Participate in leadership development programs.
  30. Maintain regional relationships with hospitals and healthcare leaders.
  31. Respond promptly to communications.
  32. Build and sustain relationships with hospital administration and medical staff.
  33. Serve on Vituity committees and workgroups.
  34. Handle emergency responsibilities for Medical Directors.
  35. Mentor regional staff and medical directors.
  36. Address partner and provider issues proactively.
  37. Participate in divisional meetings and provide organizational updates.
  38. Ensure proper onboarding, education, and training of MDs.
  39. Identify opportunities for new business and report to leadership.
  40. Engage in new business development and service line expansion.
  41. Manage contract renewal processes and negotiations.
  42. Facilitate practice line integration in startups and existing sites.
  43. Coordinate with other regional directors for contract stability.
  44. Maintain relationships with hospital and medical staff to ensure alignment.
  45. Ensure providers understand their fiduciary obligations.
  46. Model and communicate Vituity’s values and culture.
  47. Collaborate with peers to improve performance.
  48. Meet organizational goals within the region.
  49. Contribute to division-wide meetings and initiatives.
  50. Promote Vituity’s mission, values, and culture.
  51. Work with partnership and CPAC on provider issues.
  52. Maintain open communication with hospital partners and key stakeholders.
  53. Address conflicts and issues among staff and medical teams.
  54. Encourage provider participation in hospital committees.
  55. Build relationships with hospital boards and foundations where appropriate.
  56. Respond efficiently to all inquiries.
  57. Align with partnership strategies and initiatives, effectively communicating at the site level.
  58. Represent Vituity as an advocate and communicate organizational messages confidently.
  59. Provide feedback from VPs and leadership.
