Job summary

Management Performance Associates seeks a Board Certified or Board Eligible Anesthesiologist to join a well-established anesthesia team at a community hospital in Rutland, Vermont. This full-time position offers day shifts with a typical 3–4 weekday call shifts per month, and a collaborative environment with CAAs and CRNAs.

You will perform general, regional and MAC anesthesia, conduct pre-anesthesia evaluations, and provide post-anesthesia care, all while ensuring documentation accuracy and

Qualifications

• MD or DO from an accredited medical school.
• Completion of an accredited Anesthesiology residency program.
• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Anesthesiology.
• Eligible for Vermont medical license and hospital privileges.
• ACLS certification (or ability to obtain).
• Strong clinical judgment with patient safety focus.
• Team-based anesthesia collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Provide safe, high-quality anesthesia care for surgical and procedural cases.
• Conduct pre-anesthesia evaluations and develop anesthesia plans.
• Administer general, regional, and MAC anesthesia.
• Monitor intraoperative patient status and manage hemodynamics.
• Provide post-anesthesia care and pain management.
• Collaborate with surgeons, nursing staff, CRNAs, and CAAs.
• Participate in shared weekday call schedule (3–4 shifts per month).
• Ensure timely, accurate documentation per hospital standards.
• Maintain compliance with regulatory, credentialing, and quality standards.
